HUSCO International Hosts Governor Scott Walker
HUSCO International was proud to host a visit by Wisconsin governor Scott Walker at our Waukesha, WI location. During a whirlwind tour of the manufacturing facility led by Bob Mortensen, Chief Operations Officer, HUSCO explained to the governor the hydraulic control technologies that the company has developed to remain competitive in a world-wide market place.
The tour not only included viewing the manufacturing facilities for the company’s off-highway and automotive products but the testing facility where HUSCO analyzes product performance on real customer equipment in life-like workplace situations to ensure the best quality and efficiency. The governor also had the opportunity to meet several of our employees, who are instrumental in HUSCO’s success.
Efficiency was a central theme of the tour, underlining how HUSCO is leading the way in creating energy efficient construction and
agricultural equipment across the globe and creating jobs in the process’ an issue that Walker also spoke to during a speech to our employees and press in a section of the factory devoted to HUSCO’s growing automotive business.
Austin Ramirez, HUSCO’s CEO and Agustin Ramirez, Executive Chairman both spoke before Walker, outlining how the choices the governor has made has helped create a business environment where positive growth has precipitated into increased hiring for the company and the community.
Governor Walker has been making appearances across the state to support his jobs initiatives. His platform rests on creating a business-friendly environment in order to stimulate job growth. Speaking at HUSCO was one of the stops on his tour highlighting the improving business climate in Wisconsin and companies who have seen positive job growth over his term.
