HUSCO International Announces Expansion of Automotive Business
HUSCO International is pleased to announce a $20M investment in their Waukesha, WI headquarters to support the launch of new automotive programs. The investment includes modernization of 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space along with several highly automated assembly lines. New products to be manufactured by HUSCO include the key components for cylinder deactivation, variable engine oil pumps and advanced transmission systems used in automotive powertrain applications. These new programs will create approximately 30 new direct manufacturing and office positions in Waukesha.
HUSCO CEO, Austin Ramirez remarked, “Car buyers are looking for improved fuel efficiency without sacrificing horsepower and torque, and they want it for a reasonable price. HUSCO’s automotive products help make this possible.”
Earlier in May, HUSCO was honored with a top supplier award from Ford Motor Company. Out of a base of nearly 1,000 suppliers, HUSCO Automotive was recognized as one of six global suppliers that best embody the principles of Ford’s Aligned Business Framework (ABF). Todd Zakreski, President of HUSCO’s Automotive Division commented that, “Ford developed the ABF program several years ago to identify strategic supply partners that Ford will prioritize for relationship building, technical development and business growth. HUSCO’s recognition as being at the top of this already exceptional group of automotive suppliers puts us among the best-of-the-best in this industry.”
