“Be bold, and Mighty Forces Will Come to Your Aid”
“I still vividly remember my first day as a co-op student at Husco, now over 20 years ago. I am incredibly thankful for the experiences, friendships, and wisdom imparted in what feels like such a short time. I have many great memories from the legends before me including the late Jim Olsen who taught me the fundamentals: “pumps make flow, restriction makes pressure, don’t ever forget that!” I learned how to trust my instincts from Lynn Russel who was known to say “my assumptions are better than most people’s facts!” I learned to be confident while faithful from Gus Ramirez who inscribed the words “Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid” for all to see on his office wall. I’ve been inspired by meeting men like Raud Wilkie, who exhibits to this day a deep passion and curiosity for engineering; and women like Sharon Garvens, who worked at Husco from her teens through retirement ending her 40+ year career as executive assistant to the Chairman and CEO. There are so many examples of amazing people who seized the opportunities provided by Husco and in doing so became part of the journey.”
