Spare Parts Coordinator

This position is located in Waukesha, WI

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager this position will purchase materials, finished components, assemblies, supplies, tools and services which meet established quality standards, availability requirements, and price constraints.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Purchase of items at total lowest cost from reliable sources, consistent with quality, quantity, delivery, and any other relevant requirements
  • Work with both MP2 and Baan in procuring spare parts
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and the effective inventory control practices
  • Obtain quotations and negotiates with suppliers on price, quality, freight, and delivery of purchased materials
  • Facilitate the quality of purchased parts by working with inspection to communicate quality problems with suppliers, oversee the disposition of rejected parts to determine if the part needs rework, return, or scrap, and follow up on corrective action with suppliers
  • Establish and maintain a harmonious relationship with vendors or prospective vendors in order to enhance the performance and reputation of the company
  • Expedite orders when necessary to obtain 100% delivery to schedule
  • In conjunction with Supply Base Team determine new sources of supply if needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree strongly preferred minimum of 2 years experience in a repair parts facility or a related field. High school diploma required.=
  • Strong Negotiation skills required
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organization skills a must
  • Leadership, dedication, capacity to perform under pressure and a strive to grow professionally
  • Detail orientated
